The Turda History Museum is located in the former Ducal Palace belonging to the Dukes of Transylvania. The building dates from the second half of the 15th century and is considered the most valuable example of medieval architecture in Turda, with Gothic and Renaissance elements also visible. At the end of the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century, the building was completely restored.
The museum's collection consists of about 40,000 exhibits. They are divided into prehistoric, Roman and medieval collections, but you can also see ethnographic and art exhibitions here.
