The Orthodox cathedral was built in 1902-1905. The monumental building is 53 m long, over 25 m wide and nearly 35 high. Its architecture clearly dominates the neo-Byzantine style with elements of Romanian art. You can also see the inspiration of the Constantinople temple of God's Wisdom.
The main entrance to the temple leads through the portico with three semicircular doors. Behind him is the vestibule with a semi-circular stained glass window. On both sides of the entrance are two towers measuring 43 and 45 m in height.
The interior of the temple is in the Neo-Byzantine style. The frescoes on the dome, made by Octavian Smigelschi, depict Christ surrounded by four Evangelists. The authors of the paintings in the remaining parts of the church were Anastasie Demian and Iosif Keber. It is worth paying attention to the historic iconostat and episcopal throne, as well as mosaics decorating the facade of the building. They were made according to the drawings of Ludovic Kandler.
