The cave is located at an altitude of 825 m above sea level, 3 km from the town of Râșnov. It is under protection and has the status of a natural monument. Its total length is approx. 958 m, with a 330 m long section open to the public. Facilities for visitors - balustrades, pavements, stairs and a lighting system have been introduced.
The main hall is 20 meters high. You can see stalactites, stalagmites and other formations there. The largest ones reach 2 m in height. The hall is lit with multi-colored lamps that emphasize its beauty. There are several galleries and walkways leading from the hall to smaller rooms. The walls throughout the cave are covered with calcite spills.
The cave was not discovered until the mid-20th century, when its entrance was unblocked after a hydraulic explosion. It can only be visited with a guide, and it usually takes about 30 minutes to complete the entire section.
