The Caesar Petrescu Memorial House in Bușteni is dedicated to the life and work of the Romanian writer and journalist who lived there with his family in 1937-1961. The building was built in 1918 and its interior has kept the atmosphere and style of the period when Petrescu lived there.
At the entrance there are sculptures of the three leaders of the peasant uprising, Horia, Cloşc and Crişan, as a gift to Petrescu from the sculptor Oscar Han. There are also paintings by Iser, Jiquidi and Demian. The works of art collected here are a symbol of the writer's friendship with the artists of the time.
On the ground floor there is a lounge with rustic furniture and Transylvanian ceramics, a large library and two former bedrooms which now house exhibitions of documents, photographs and graphics. On the second floor you can see, among others a writer's office with a desk, armchair and everyday utensils belonging to him.
