The neo-Romanesque castle was built in 1911 by order of Prince Gheorghe Cantacuzino. The complex consists of four buildings - a residential residence, two pavilions and a chapel. After the Second World War, it housed a sanatorium. The interiors have been restored to their original appearance, and the entire complex has been transformed into a museum.
The castle is richly decorated with stained glass windows, painted ceiling beams, white stone fireplaces and mosaic ornaments. The walls of the central pavilion are covered with stone carvings. It houses a heraldic collection containing family coats of arms linked to the alliance with the Cantacuzino family. There are also portraits of family members from the Munten branch.
The complex is surrounded by a park that is also open to the public. There you can see decorative fountains and a picturesque grotto with a waterfall.
