Although there are no longer fishing boats waiting for the morning catch on the beaches around Olhos de Água, the village has still retained its provincial character. It is quiet and peaceful here, but every year there are more guesthouses and hotels, and with them - more tourists.

They are attracted by the wide and sandy beaches, the most important attraction of Olhos de Água. Falesia Beach, Maria Luísa Beach, Alfamar Beach and Poço Velho Beach are all located at the foot of low cliffs. They are developed and under rescue supervision. There are recreational and water equipment rentals as well as bars.

The area around Olhos de Água is great for walking and cycling. The cliffs offer pretty panoramic views of the coast and the Falesia viewpoint is a popular excursion destination.
