Praia Dona Ana is one of the most frequented beaches of the Algavre region. It offers golden, fine sand, picturesque views of the steep cliffs that surround it, as well as clear water in the Atlantic Ocean stretching to the horizon. Due to the shelter on three sides, the beach is not as windy as other similar facilities in Portugal. For the same reason, there are not many water sports people there. The water is ideal for swimming. There are no large waves or water currents. However, remember that the water is cool.
The beach is in close proximity to the center of the popular resort of Lagos. To get to it you have to climb a steep wooden staircase. The beach is guarded by a lifeguard in summer. There are short walking routes around the cliffs and on the cliffs. At the beach you can also take advantage of the offer of many restaurants and cafes.
