The garden has a triangular shape and an area of 0.3 ha. It is decorated with the sculpture of Jose Estêvão Coelho de Magalhães, a well-known journalist, politician and Portuguese parliamentary speaker, by the sculptor Víctor Bastos. The park is located on Constitution Square near the seat of the Portuguese Parliament since 1834.
