It was built in 1900-1902, and its designer was Raoul Mesnier de Ponsard, a student of Gustave Eiffel. It is a steel structure 45 m high, with neo-Gothic decorations. The lift is operated by two original cabins from the beginning of the 20th century, each of which can accommodate 24 people.
