Dating from the 16th century, Belem Palace has been the seat of the President of Portugal since 1910. It is surrounded by a picturesque garden. The museum is located in a building adjacent to the entrance gate. It was renovated in the early 21st century. The exhibition was modernized by introducing multimedia and interactive elements.
At the Museum you can view documents, photos, personal items of subsequent presidents. There is also a collection of items that Portuguese presidents received as gifts from guests from abroad.
