The Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology in Lisbon is the city's new cultural center. The purpose of its creation was to organize national and international exhibitions with the participation of contemporary artists, architects and people of art. The MAAT mission is to create a place of free debate, critical thinking and dialogue for all audiences from different age groups. At permanent exhibitions you can see all sorts of works of art by contemporary artists. Various temporary exhibitions and performance art shows are also organized.
The design object was designed by the architectural firm Amanda Levete Architects. It covers an area of 7,000 square meters. Located in the Belem district, on the banks of the Tagus River. It was officially opened on October 5, 2016.
