Central Canal of Aveiro

The main shipping channel in Aveiro connecting the Rosso gardens with the port. Stretches along the city promenade planted with trees that give a pleasant shade in summer. Lower down the city center along the canal are nineteenth-century tenements, many of which have facades decorated with azulejos tiles. Traditional moliceiros boats float on the canal, which are currently used to transport tourists.
