The Kalatówki mountain hut is a comfortable PTTK (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society) mountain hotel at an altitude of 1198 meters above sea level. The brick building in the Swiss style was built in 1938. In addition to accommodation, it offers a ski rental, a restaurant, a sauna, a gym and two cafes. The mountain hut can be reached by the blue trail leading from Kuźnice to Giewont. From Kalatówki leads also, marked in black, Path Nad Reglami, leading to the Chochołowska Valley. Nearby are located ski lifts. The youngest guests can enjoy the ski kindergarten and yoga classes.
Kalatówki glade, where the hotel is located, took its name from the former owners, village leaders from Szaflary. At the beginning of the 20th century, it became an arena for sports skiing and in the years 1911-1912 it was precisely for the skiers that the first hostel was built and enlarged in 1923. The present building, designed by engineer Józef Jaworski, was built for the FIS World Ski Championships.
