The museum exhibitions were mainly dedicated to commemorating the Spring of Nations, the strike of the children of Wrzesnia and the Greater Poland Uprising. There are also exhibitions about archaeological monuments describing the history of the city of Września and its surroundings from prehistory to modern times, as well as exhibits from the settlement in nearby Grzybowo.
The museum's seat is a former Prussian school, in which in May 1901 children struck for the right to Polish prayer. Inside were presented photos of striking students, enriched with their biographies, as well as photos of teachers of that institution. An extremely valuable monument, which the museum bought at one of the auctions, is the notebook of one of the famous students. Interestingly, the object has survived despite the passage of a hundred years.
