Wejherowski Town Hall refers to the empire style, while preserving the features of its two predecessors, erected in 1720 and 1908. The last renovation and renovation of the Town Hall won the main prize in the "Modernization of the Year 2004" competition. Wejherowo, in which the family tree of the founder of the city - Jakub Wejhera was reproduced.
The City Hall also presents documents with the signature of King Jan Kazimierz, vintage instruments, clothing and everyday items from the Kaszuby region and the sgraffito Kashubian alphabet and mock-up of the historic part of the city and Wejherowo Calvary. In the cellars the old prison cell was rebuilt.
Legend has it that the future founder of Wejherowo was wounded during the expedition of Ladislaus IV to Smolensk in 1634. He then vowed that if he survived, he would build a church and a monastery. The promise was respected, and when Wejherowo received a city charter in 1650, he founded the Town Hall. At present, the statue of Jakub Wejher stands in the vicinity of the town hall.
