Palace Art Galleries in Wilanów are located in the main part of the building and in the north wing, where the Gallery of Landscapes and paintings from the former museum gallery of August Potocki are presented. The works of art in it come from the collection of Stanisław Kostka Potocki. The exhibition is enriched by products of artistic craft.
There are four galleries of paintings in the Wilanów Palace. In the main part, on both sides of the Great Hall, the North Gallery and the South Gallery are located. On their walls you can see the original fresco murals, unveiled during conservation works conducted after the war. Both murals and plafonds come from the mid-seventeenth century. The South Gallery exhibits paintings on the subject of mythology, in the North Gallery there is a portrait of Stanisław Kostka Potocki and marble busts from the 18th and 19th centuries, displayed on gilded consoles.In the Gallery of Landscapes, apart from the three-part plafond with allegorical scenes, landscape paintings of famous masters from the 17th and 18th centuries are exposed. The room is filled with furniture in the French style, small tables with mosaic tops and two liberial tailcoats of the servants. In turn, in the Gallery of Paintings Called the Museum, apart from valuable paintings, you can see examples of artistic craft, wardrobes, beer mugs, bronze decorations, Meissen porcelain and Dutch faience.Less
