Local name: Grodzisko na Bródnie

Grodzisko na Bródno is a partial reconstruction of the oldest in the area of contemporary Warsaw city and the accompanying settlement, which dates back to the 9th and 10th centuries. Remnants of them belong to the only early medieval complex studied in the area occupied by the capital. Tourists have provided educational paths and so- Archaeological Archaeological Area with playground for children.

The original castle was built on a dune on three sides surrounded by swamps and occupied an area of about 40x47 meters. It was devoid of moat, but surrounded by wooden earthen shafts about 6 meters high. Most likely it was a shelter for the local population in case of invasions. The castle burned down or was destroyed in the middle of the 11th century and was not rebuilt. In turn the settlement functioned for a short time, but eventually it was abandoned.
