Wiech Park was named after famous Warsaw's writer and publicist - Stefan Wiechecki. It consists of the sundial, fountains, the supply of Oligocene water, and Theatre Rampa. There are also basketball courts, roller skating track, outdoor gym, and playground.
The park was established in the 1960s. It was then a small green space surrounding the community center in Targówek. Its extension and modernization were carried out for 10 years from 1996 to 2006. It gained a completely new look including pergolas, new benches, and lanterns. In his works, Stefan "Wiech" Wiechacki used Warsaw's subdialect called "wiech". His feuilletons consist of characters bearing stereotypical traits of inhabitants of Warsaw such as Walery Wątróbka, Teofil Piecyk, and Maniuś Kitajec.Less
