The Museum of the Tuchola Forest is located in the agricultural building from the turn of the 20th century which draws inspiration from old brick granaries. Opened in 1980, the museum presents two permanent and numerous temporary exhibitions. The exposition "Ethnography of the Tuchola Forest" presents everyday objects which, in the past, were used by inhabitants of the Tuchola Forest. Their main activities were farming, hunting, beekeeping, fishing, and wildcrafting. There are, among others, the interior of the former Tuchola's house, and folk costumes.
The second exhibition titled "Fauna and flora of the Tuchola Forest" is dedicated to the rich nature of the forest. It describes animals and plants inhabiting the forest today and also its extinct species. Temporary exhibitions present works by local painters, sculptors, and embroiderers.Less
