The main branch of the District Museum in Toruń is located in the gothic Old Town Town Hall. It is one of the oldest museums in Poland. In addition to temporary exhibitions that appear in the town hall, you can see as many as 9 permanent exhibitions.
The installations in the Old Town Town Hall include painting and Polish sculpture from the period from 1945 to 2010, a gallery of Gothic art (once the equipment of churches), Toruń's history and artistic craftsmanship from 1233-1793, a burgess portrait gallery, the Royal Hall (which served years ago as residence of Polish kings), a gallery of Polish painting dating back to the end of the 18th century, as well as secular goldsmith’s craft, mints and coins from Toruń dating back to the 13th century and treasures from Skrwilna and Nieszawa.Less
