The exhibition, which occupies the area of 120 m2 of the former gingerbread factory of Gustaw Weese, presents a 600-year-old history of gingerbread represented by old gingerbread molds, including famous “katarzynka”, baking ingredients, tools and antique stoves.
During the tour you can take part in workshops showing the process of making and baking gingerbread, learn about Gustav's story, watch a film and an interactive recipe book on gingerbread recipes. The attraction of the visit is an interactive wardrobe in which you can play the role of the old lady stall-keeper or Gustav Weese. The museum, apart from exhibits presented at several thematic exhibitions, is also enriched by many interesting arrangements, such as a virtual lady stall-keeper or the possibility of tasting gingerbread baked on the spot. Exhibits occupy three floors of the building, and the oldest ones come from the seventeenth century. The institution also organizes gingerbread feasts and birthdays.Less
