Gingerbread Walk of Fame

The avenue commemorates well-known and eminent people associated with Toruń. On the Old Market Square, in front of the Artus Court you can see brass gingerbread - “katarzynki”, with autographs of honored people. We can find names such as Małgorzata Kożuchowska, Bogusław Linda, Katarzyna Dowbor, Aleksander Wolszczan or Grażyna Szapołowska. Since 2003, the Department of Promotion and Information of the City Hall has been annually presenting two new people whose signatures will be included in this particular Avenue. The honoring ceremony is always carefully prepared and takes place with a real pump.
