Stefan Żeromski Park is a dendrological park. In the park grow 177 species of trees and shrubs, including some specimen of over a hundred years old. Among the partially paved walking paths there are four sculptures and two commemorative boulders, including "Adam", which is a monument of nature. There is also a playground for children with wooden devices.
The park was established at the beginning of the 20th century in the place of two cemeteries - Evangelical cemetery, founded in 1721, and urban cemetery from 1802. The place where the first of them was located, has been commemorated so far by three high metal crosses. Cemeteries were adjacent to each other until the end of the 19th century, later city authorities have gradually reduced their area and transformed them into the park areas.Less
