The Central Cemetery in Szczecin is the largest necropolis in Poland, the third largest in Europe and one of the largest in the world. Visitors enter it through the historic Main Gate. Other important places are the Cemetery Chapel and Military Quarters. The 19th-century Dutch windmill also attracts attention. There are significant monuments, antique tombstones, and memorial stones.

The necropolis had been founded in the years 1899-1900. Nowadays, it covers an area of ​​172.33 ha. Since its beginnings, over 300,000 deceased people have been buried there. A historical route has been created for visitors. It is comprised of 21 stations, ends and starts at the Main Gate. The time of going through this route is about 1.5-2 hours.

The most important monuments in the Central Cemetery in Szczecin are: the Katyń Cross, Monument to Brotherhood of Arms, Monument "For those who have not returned from the sea", Monument to the Sybiraks, Monument to the Combatants, Cross of the Martyrdom of the Polish Nation, Monument to Pioneers of Szczecin 1945-1946, Monument to the Home Army, Monument of Remembrance of Unborn Children, Monument to the Memory of the Olympics Winners.
