The collection of the Regional Museum in Syców mainly includes exhibits related to the history of the city and the region. There are documents, maps, numismatic items, seals, old press, engravings, graphics as well as ethnographic and archaeological collections. The museum also conducts educational activities and organizes art exhibitions.
The facility was founded in 1982. It is located at the market square in a tenement house from the 18th century. It is the former administrative court building and now the Sicilian Culture Center. The museum cooperates with other museum and cultural institutions in Lower Silesia.
In the field of exhibition activity, permanent exhibitions regarding Syców and its history are presented. Part of the museum exhibition was dedicated to the first owners of Syców, the Biron von Curland family. Temporary exhibitions in the field of painting, sculpture, art and photography are also organized. In the field of education, a multimedia presentation on the city's history is periodically held.
