Housed in a beautiful Renaissance palace, the Archaeological Museum of Swidnica presents permanent expositions devoted to the history of the region from prehistory to modern times. The exhibits available to visitors are the result of the work of archaeologists from the last two seasons of excavation research.
The Archaeological Museum attracts both the exposure and the building in which it was exhibited. Renaissance palace dates back to the 17th century and in the past belonged to the Kietlicz family. In the project building of the Italian architect Alberto Antonio from Urbino you can still admire many original architectural elements. The surrounding park museum is also well preserved. In the halls you can see permanent exhibitions: "Defense of the Western Polish State during the Piast dynasty", "Wicina - metalurgical castle 2500 years ago", "Middle Ages Middle Ages Economy" and "Middle Ages Hunters and Farmers".
Apart from exhibiting activities, the museum also conducts its own archaeological research, which can be seen at the exhibitions. Artifacts are presented in chronological order, allowing for a better understanding of the passage of time and the development of civilization in the region.
