The Czołpino lighthouse is situated between Łeba and Rowy in the heart of Slowinski National Park. It is one of the few buildings of this type so distant from human aggregations. To get to it you have to go through a 1.5 km trail. Visitors can admire from the height of moving dunes, the coastal lakes Lebsko and Gardno and the spit separating the lake Łebsko from the sea.
Construction of the lighthouse lasted from 1872 to 1875. It was set on the highest dune 1000 meters from the sea shore. Electricity was connected to it only around 1930. Previously, the lighting was obtained by burning oil.
The lantern has survived to the present day intact. In 1993-94 only restoration was carried out and only then it was made available to the public. Earlier access to it was impossible due to the nearby Military Missile Unit.
