The basilica and shrine in Rokitno are the most important place of Marian devotion in western Poland. At the altar of the temple there is an image of the Mother of God patiently listening to the purpose of the pilgrimage of the faithful. Attention is also attracted by the beautiful decoration of the Late Baroque church, the crossroads and the local museum.
The present location of Basilica since the 12th century was the seat of the first temple, the center of the surrounding parish. In the 17th century the Bledzewski abbot miraculously restored after many days of prayers to the image, which was declared a miracle by the decree of the Poznań bishop in 1670. In addition, the power of the image was confirmed by King Michael Korybut Wiśniowiecki, who took him with him to successful negotiations with the Turks. From Bledzewo the image of the Mother of God patiently listened to Rokytna Cistercian.
Our Lady of Rokitniańska in gratitude received from the king a silver dress with the symbol of a white eagle, which was a symbol of Polishness during the partitions. Also worth mentioning is the John Paul II memorial museum and the Chapel of Our Lady of Fatima, the Gate of Dawn, Golgotha and the hermitage of the Five Martyrs of Międzyrzecze.
