Rokitno Calvary

Kalitaria Rokitniańska is the only sacred place of this type in the western part of the country. Currently, it consists of 32 stations located on a 4.5-kilometer-long stone path leading among lush greenery. Over 20,000 trees and shrubs were planted here, including numerous olives. Individual stations were built according to the designs of Jolanta and Rafał Lisiaków, and are decorated with bas-reliefs by Jacek Nowak. Since 2015, so-called Kalwaria Tour, or electric vehicle journeys along all stations.

Every year on Friday before Palm Sunday, the faithful appear in crowds at the first station, usually several thousand people. Together they cross the entire Calvary Road and together go to a service at the nearby Sanctuary.
