Werkbank Gallery

Werkbank Gallery is situated in the old air raid shelter from 1930s. In the area of 100 square meters there are workshop room, exhibition room, a hall, a cloakroom and a kitchenette. It is a great place for cultural and business meetings.

A bunker at first was acting as an air raid shelter. In 1945 in its rooms a dressing point for German soldiers, injured during battles with the Red Army, was organized. Afterwards, during the Cold War, the shelter was transformed from air raid to atomic one.

In 2014, due to the new owner, facility has undergone a major renovation and today one can see here authentic pieces of bunker equipment, original layout of rooms, renovated evacuation tunnel, main sluice and an old ventilation. 

Due to Ida M. Kozłowski, a place with a good vibe was created, where art meets history. An artist has got her own workshop there and organizes many interesting exhibitions, choosing topics, that are interesting and accessible for the average visitor.
