The Museum's headquarters is a former postal inn from the 1830s with classicistic features. The facility has historical, archaeological, artistic and ethnographic collections. There is a particularly valuable collection of paintings, gouaches and drawings of the inhabitant of Pleszew - Marian Bogusz.
Among the historical collections, the most interesting are documents from the 16th century regarding the history of the city and the surrounding area, as well as the Statute of the Tailor's Guild from 1592. Archaeological collections are mainly the remains of settlements from the period from 3000 BC to the X-XI century after Christ and they are: vessels with iconic signs, rattles of the Lusatian culture population, caves and bracelets.
The facility also has a rich collection of paintings, drawings and graphics from artists from Pleszew and the surrounding area, including works of Marian Bogusz. In the ethnographic department, a large part of the collections are everyday objects, handicrafts of folk artists, as well as equipment and products from former workshops. The museum regularly organizes temporary exhibitions and conducts educational activities.
