Ozimek suspension bridge was entered in the List of Historic Monuments in 2017. It is one of the oldest still existing iron bridges supported by pylons in the world. The construction is a passage suspended over the Mała Panew. It is a winner of Zabytek Zadbany 2012 (Well-kept Monument) in the category of industrial and technical buildings.
The bridge was built in 1827. It is supported by two iron pylons forming a neo-Gothic gate. It was considered engineered marvel when it was constructed. The bridge's span is almost 30 m while its carrying capacity is 3 tons, however, it could bear three times as much.After the thorough renovation carried out at the beginning of the 21st century, the bridge became a decoration of Ozimek. All its 1600 forged parts were done by hand. Its beauty was also appreciated abroad. It's the first Polish object rewarded with Footbridge Award.Less
