Regional Museum

Local name: Muzeum Regionalne

The museum is located in the Ostrzeszów Cultural Center, in the Town Hall building. The facility's collections include 8,000 exhibits, collected in the departments of history, archeology, ethnography, art and numismatics. The museum is primarily known for its collection of works by Antoni Serbeński and memorabilia from World War II regarding Norwegian officers imprisoned at the XXI C in Ostrzeszów.

The works of Antoni Serbeński, a graduate of the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts, are oils, watercolors, pastels and woodcuts, as well as drawings in charcoal, on which the artist recorded the small towns of Greater Poland. We will also see photos, documents and banners from the time of the Greater Poland Uprising.

The permanent exhibition - "Norwegian Officers in Oflag XXI C" presents a collection of documents, photos, uniforms and souvenirs of Norwegian officers. "Ignacy Moś-His City" is an exhibition showing the gifts donated to the museum by Ignacy Mosia - among others a collection of numismatic items dedicated to St. MM Kolbe, family souvenirs, the work of A. Serbeński.
