The beach is located by the lake Olecko Wielkie and is part of the recreation, sports and cultural center of the city. On site there is a water equipment rental, a pier with a jump, a water slide, a bunk bar with a covered shed, and a volleyball court. The bathing beach is guarded by lifeguards.
Particularly noteworthy is the unique wooden pier with a high tower at its end. The tower is less than 7 m high and acts as a hill. The entire structure was built around 1930. In 2004, the building was renovated, modeled on archival photographs.
Around the lake, the "Wiewiórcza Path" route was marked out. It is a walking and cycling trail with educational functions. It runs 2 meters from the lake line and allows you to observe closely the plants and animals under protection.
