Miniature Temples Park

Local name: Park Miniatur Świątyń

The unique Miniature Temples Park is located in the Ecumenical Culture Center near Rehabilitation and Recreation Center Caritas. It presents very detailed recreations of neighboring regions in southwest Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia. There are 140 models of churches in 1:25 scale which, in the past, belonged to inhabitants of these lands: Polish Uplanders, Dolinians, Zamieszańcy, Lemkos, and Boykos. The inscription "Ponad wszystkim niech będzie miłość" (Let love be above everything else" can be seen at the entrance.

Opened in 2007, the center honors Pope John Paul II who was known for his ecumenic point of view. His monument is located in the park. The unique exhibition presented here is worthy of attention especially because of the fact that some of the buildings are no longer located in original places and their size is different which was caused, for example, by fires.

The originator of the facility was Bogdan Janik, priest and director of the center while its creators were Norbert Piekarski and a team of experts led by Janusz Kulig.
