Moszna Castle

The 19th-century palace serving today as an exclusive hotel used to be the residence of Silesian nobles - the Tiele-Winckler family. It is not necessary to be a guest of the hotel to see it.

The architecture of the Moszna Castle is unparalleled. The building is famous for a huge amount of rooms (365) and numerous towers (99) decorating the roof. The wonderful look of the castle is complemented by the complex of gardens and parks with the aged tree stand and the unique cluster of rhododendron. At the end of the first half of the 20th century the National Stud Farm, where various national riding competitions are organized, was established in the area owned by the palace.

The current shape of the palace is a result of the renovation works carried out after the fire which destroyed the former Baroque palace. A lot of changes were introduced at the beginning of the 20th century - the Neo-Gothic eastern part and the Neo-Renaissance western wing.
