The minimalist building designed by Nizio Design International houses the Museum of Poles Rescued by Jews during World War II. The Ulm family in Markowa. It is the only institution in Poland dedicated to commemorating the heroic attitudes of Poles, who at the risk of their lives helped the Jews during the German occupation. These people were living in Markowa Victoria and Józef Ulmowie, murdered with their children for not hesitating to give shelter to Jewish neighbors .... You can see here. a model of the house of Ulm, a monument dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust and illuminated tablets with the names of the Poles killed for the help of the Jews.
The idea of creating an open museum in March 2016 dates back to 2007. The building of the castle was preserved by the Castle Museum in Łańcut. The exhibition does not overlook the unfathomable aspect of Polish-Jewish relations.
The Ulm family was posthumously awarded the title of the Righteous Among the Nations and the Commander Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. The beatification process is under way.
