Inside the temple you can admire vaults decorated with stucco, a brick music choir, and above all, a miraculous image of Our Lady of Good Council. The Church of the Holy Spirit in Lublin used to be a hospital church. Currently, it serves as the rector's church.
There is a miracle associated with the picture of Our Lady. Apparently in 1642, the tears flowed from the eyes of Our Lady in the picture. The painting began to be famous for miraculous graces. It was before him that such personalities as Piotr Skarga and Marianna Kosciuszko prayed for intercession, as well as the queen Marysieńka Sobieska herself. The temple was built at the beginning of the fifteenth century, next to the existing hospital. In the 17th century, the hospital building was pulled down and a monastery was built in its place. During one of the fires the church was significantly destroyed. It was rebuilt, partially in a Baroque style. Currently, it has the shape of a three-nave basilica with two sacristies and a presbytery topped with a dome.Less
