Treasury

The treasury of the Basilica of the Dominican Order is located in the monastery, in the cloisters. There are old liturgical vestments and vessels, liturgical documents and books as well as paintings depicting the former abbots of the Lublin monastery.

The treasury was organized and made available to tourists as a result of renovation works carried out in the monastery at the beginning of the 21st century. Thanks to this, many very valuable objects, stored until now in lockup, was brought to light.

In properly illuminated display cases, liturgical chasubles and capes, goblets, monstrances, cans on relics and other vessels used during services are displayed. There are also religious documents, missals and old prints of the Holy Scripture. There are paintings on the walls depicting the abbots and the friars meritorious for the monastery. One can see, among others, an image of father Ruszel, whose ghost apparently appears in monastic cloisters.
