The park has been functioning since the middle of the 19th century. On its periphery the White Factory of Ludwik Geyer is located. Most of the park trees are over 100 years old. More valuable specimens are catalpas and black locust trees which are the largest in Łódź. In the park there is a pond and also a fountain in the shape of a lily flower.
The initiator of the park establishment was Ludwik Geyer. Above the park pond he built his White Factory, where nowadays are the headquarters of Central Museum of Textiles. The park has an area of over 6 hectares. At the beginning of the 21st century, it underwent revitalisation. New benches were set up, paths were fixed. Over a hundred-year-old trees have been also taken care of. In the park grow mainly lime trees, oaks and ash trees. Eight trees are considered natural monuments. There is also the largest chestnut tree in Łódź. It has a perimeter of over 3 meters.Less
