The museum collects exhibits related to the development of education in Łódź. The collection includes school photographs, diplomas, memorial books, and classroom equipment. Among them, there is an unique collection of around 100 school banners. The oldest is dated back to 1916.
In the museum, you can see a classroom equipped with furniture and accoutrements used in schools in the middle of the 20th century. In the museum are stored old furniture, globes, worn-out microscopes, steam engine model, Bell's phone model, and even inkwells and abacuses which, in the past, were inherent equipment of every school.
The basic part of the collection, which comprises the most exhibits, are photographs of distinguished teachers, report cards, school IDs, and diplomas. The museum also has a great collection of manuscripts and press clippings.
