The Leżajsk monastery complex is considered one of the most valuable sacred monuments of Podkarpacie. The 17th-century Bernardine church and monastery are surrounded by defensive walls with bastions and gates. Early Baroque church Of the Annunciation is the sanctuary of Our Lady of Consolation; in 1928 he was granted the status of a minor basilica, and in 2005 it was recognized as a Historical Monument. Inside there is, among others A sixteenth-century miraculous painting of Madonna and Child, called Leżajska, an outstanding rococo polychrome and priceless seventeenth-century organs.
The monastery complex is located in a place where, according to tradition, the Virgin Mary and Saint. Joseph. It was created for the needs of the Bernardines, who were brought to Leżajsk by the Przemyśl bishop in 1608. The founder of the foundation was Łukasz Opaliński with his wife Anna, while the construction was managed by Antonio Pellacini.
Concerts take place in the basilica. There is a Museum of the Bernardine Fathers Provincial within the complex.
