Element of Legnica's city fortifications, which was built in the first half of the 15th century. The tower is a valuable architectural monument of the city, but also a landmark, where there is, among others tourist information point. Built in the neo-Gothic style.
Originally, the building was part of the defensive walls protecting the city. Only in the nineteenth century, as a result of a thorough renovation, the tower gained a passing character. Apart from covering her with a four-sided roof, her appearance did not change significantly. Characteristic of the building are traces of battlements that were bricked up in the 20th century, and a sundial dial.
The tower underwent further renovations in 2009 and 2011
