Kurozwęki Palace

Palace in Kurozwęki, renovated by the descendants of the last owners, is today the center of a large tourist complex and also a major tourist attraction.

The origin of the Kurozwęki palace must be sought in the Middle Ages when a fortified castle was built there. It was repeatedly rebuilt over time and as a result was transformed into a residence. His heyday was in the 19th century, when it came into possession of the Popiel family. They were the owners of the palace until World War II. Their descendants were able to win back the estate. Now in its eclectic interiors there is a hotel and a restaurant.

Some of the rooms are opened for visiting in the company of a guide. 23 paintings of Józef Czapski are the pride of the collections gathered here. In the former farm buildings, there is a stud farm that continues the traditions of the pre-war Arabian horse stud farm belonging to the Popiel family. In the park, a mini zoo and bison breeding were created, in which leave today over 80 of these American giants.
