The presented here permanent exhibition is titled "Cracow - the period of occupation 1939 - 1945". Its purpose is to show the history of the factory in the context of the war-torn city. 45 exhibition halls present Cracow and its inhabitants during the times of World War II, history of the people who worked in the factory and history of Oskar Schindler himself. Oskar Schindler's Factory is one of the branches of the Historical Museum of the City of Cracow. The building itself is included in the Cracow's Technology Path.
The museum is visited by thousands of people who want to see the place where Oskar Schindler saved over a thousand Cracow's Jews. Oskar became famous after the publication of the book titled "Schindler’s Ark" by Australian novelist Thomas Keneally and the movie based on it - "Schindler's List" by Steven Spielberg.A ceremony of the opening of this branch of the museum took place on 10 June 2010. The factory is divided into two parts. The Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków (MOCAK) is located in the second part.Less
