Center for Glass and Ceramics

The Glass and Ceramics Center is a museum, gallery, educational and entertainment venue. Visitors can admire hand-held glass-making demonstrations and try their hand at the glassworker's profession. Temporary exhibitions of works by Polish contemporary artists are held here.

The Center of Glass and Ceramics is the only place in Małopolska, where there is the opportunity to admire the work of professional glassworkers. In front of the audience, with the help of professional tools, glass works of art are created: roses, flowers, animal figurines.

Once Kraków Glassworks was located at Lipowa Street 3. The place is an initiative of the Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials. The museum has a permanent exhibition showing the history and technology of glass art under the title "Glass in Kraków. Industry and art. 1931-1998. " The exhibition is child-friendly, interactive and modern. Handmade glass and ceramic products can be purchased on site.
