Bunkier Sztuki

Local name: Bunkier Sztuki

Bunkier Sztuki Gallery of Contemporary Art operates in Kraków since 1965. The headquarters is located in the exhibition pavilion designed by Krystyna Tołłoczko-Różyska. The place is known for exhibitions of contemporary art by artists from Kraków and abroad.

The facade of the gallery was made of concrete forms. Authors of the formwork are Stefan Borzęcki and Antoni Hajdecki. The building is an example of brutalist architecture - the movement of late modernism. It is a combination of glass and raw wall. The exhibition space covers an area of 1500 m2. It is divided into smaller halls.

Bunkier Sztuki organizes not only exhibitions but also meetings with artists and workshops for adults and children. Visitors can use the help of staff members of information service who will eagerly talk about current exhibitions and events.
