Museum of Stefan Żeromski's School Years

The museum is located in the part of the former middle school which student was Stefan Żeromski. The museum displays manuscripts of his works, photos, school documents that includes school certificate and fragments of the class register, and also the disc from 1924 with the recording of Stefan Żeromski's voice.

The museum was opened in 1964, in the 100th anniversary of Stefan Żeromski's birth. The museum occupies one floor of the 18th century building of the middle school to which in 1874-1886 future writer had been attending. The exhibitions present the history of this building, the Żeromski family, and life of the writer himself -starting from his learning period in Kielce and ending on his life as a writer. The collection consists of the manuscripts, first editions of his books and book illustrations. The large part of the exposition includes letters from different times of Żeromski's life and school photos, some of them with dedications.
