Kadzielnia Amphitheatre

It is located under Kadzielnia Hill, in the southern part of the city. Built from limestone cliffs, it has been gradually exploited since the 17th century. Stone extraction was stopped partly in the interwar period, and partly after the war. The former quarry was protected and its southern part was designated for cultural purposes. An amphitheater of 5000 places was built here. After modernization, which passed in 2010, it is a modern facility, fully equipped to handle large cultural events. There are numerous outdoor events, festivals and concerts.
