The hill in the Stołowe Mountains, 895 meters above sea level. With the adjacent Szczeliniec Wielki (the highest elevation of the entire range) it forms a uniform massif, separated by a shallow pass. Its top is not open to tourists and no path leads to it.
In terms of shape, Szczeliniec Mały is a typical hill of the Stołowe Mountains with the shape of a characteristic, flat-truncated cone. In the past, the natural and geological values of the Szczeliniec massif were protected by a reserve covering their area. Since 1993, the entire hill is within the Stołowe Mountains National Park.
In the past, a Prussian wooden and earth fort was located on the northern slopes of the hill. The whole massif of Szczeliniec Mały can be walked around using marked hiking trails: blue and yellow.
